ZANĀN presents an evening of interdisciplinary performance art and experimental music, intertwining the themes of diasporic sense of home, female place in society and the notion of modesty.

ZANĀN is a female led experimental music & performance art collective, co-curated by Mahsa Salali & Roxanna Albayati. It focuses on the sense of belonging and expression of artistic identity among diaspora cultures.

Mahsa & Roxanna are experimental musicians, whose inspiration lies heavily in the merging and breaking down of Iranian Dastgāh with free improvisation, movement practice and electronics.

ZANĀN (زنان) is Farsi for women/feminine/female.
